Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance
The Annual Delivery Plan has been compiled by Mr T Cronin the Careers Leader for Linslade School.
This plan highlights the key activities and dates throughout the 2020/21 academic year where the school will deliver Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance.
This is a working document that will be subject to change and will be updated prior to the start of each academic year.

Lunchtime aspiration Q&A sessions - external visitors come in to talk to pupils regarding various professions, e.g. midwife and pilot Linslade Website links and information on career exploration (including links to National Careers Service for more in-depth advice and guidance needs), further education, apprenticeships and employability skills. Careers guidance in Inclusive Learning. Careers display boards showing subjects linked to careers. National Careers Week Form-time activities. Employer assemblies. STEM - All years school trip visit to the ‘Big Bang Fair’. |
Additional opportunities for: Year 7 & Year 8 |
Trips to University of Bedfordshire and Shuttleworth college including workshops and lectures. Attendance to a careers fair including employers from the local area. Off timetable day focused on exploring careers including sessions on: Skill survey to explore suitable jobs, CV writing, Interview questioning, apprenticeships. Year 7 (only) go to the Science museum. Part of the trip is a careers workshop. Year 7 (only) go to the Guardian newspaper. Part of the trip is a careers workshop. |
Linslade School Provider Access Statement Policy
To maintain quality and ensure compliance with the latest statutory advice, the careers programme will be reviewed annually and impact will be measured by conducting termly student surveys.
