Community Connections
Linslade is committed to building strong links with our community whilst also offering a window into the wider world for our EPIC learners. Learners are encouraged to positively contribute to the their community. Below are just a sample of the activitities the school has been involved in and some links to local events and places.
Classroom to Care Home Writing Intiaitive
For two years now the Year 6 pupils have written personalised Christmas-themed letters to local residents and staff at Knolls Care Home and the surrounding streets. They have also visited singing carols and distributing treats.
Fundraising £2000 for the Ukraine appeal
In partnership with Leighton Middle the school raised over £2000 by paying for the opportunity to wear an item of clothing linked to supporting Ukraine.
Queen's Jubilee Cream Tea
On 27 June the school hosted a cream tea to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Over 200 parents, carers, local residents and dignitaries attended.
Living History Trail
Welcome to the Living History Trail where you can discover who walked down these streets before you. The trail captures a glimpse into the lives of ordinary townsfolk and shares the impact they left on the Town’s history. What mark will you leave? This trail leaflet gives a hint of what the trail is all about.
Milton Keynes Model Railway Society
It's the Milton Keynes Model Railway Society annual exhibition on Saturday 16th July
I will be exhibiting my 'indoor' garden railway there. (Stand 18 Penphyll Halt)
There are 11 layouts plus trade stands and demos.
£5 adult, Kids £1 Under 5's free.
If bringing children I highly recommend a step stool as some of the layouts are at adult height so a step stool makes it eye level for children or you have to lift and carry.

We have helped to collect second hand uniform donations from our customers and we have received an overwhelming response. We hope this will benefit many struggling families who need all the support they can get, here within our local community.
