Primary Transition

Transition 2021

Starting middle school is a big step and that is why we offer a full induction programme that aims to minimise any worries or anxieties and make this a happy transition for children as well as parents.

We also recognise that transferring from lower school to Linslade School is a new experience for children and one which needs to be handled with care.

Some children adapt quickly, while others take time to get use to their new environment. We aim to start building positive relations early ensuring that over time we know every pupil well. This way we can provide them with the right teaching, support and learning environment. We strongly believe that every child can realise their potential, ensuring the curriculum is exciting and engaging for all. We believe in creating an environment for children where they feel safe and happy so that their individual, group and whole class learning journeys are challenging but effective, productive and progressive. Our aim is to give pupils the skills for enjoying learning and putting their knowledge into practice in a variety of different ways.

We consider parental involvement to be of vital importance. We keep in close touch with parents through home school communication, newsletters, our website, regular progress checks, reports and social media as well as the pupil planner.

If you have any concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us at newentry2021@linsladeac.co.uk
